David Salmon

David Salmon is from a very artistic and musical family and grew up in Golden Bay.

After high school David attended Nelson School of Music, Studying guitar and percussion.

His apprenticeship began in June 2001 under Jenkin Piano Service becoming ARPT Qualified four years later.

During his thirteen-year tenure with Jenkin Piano, David attended training at Steinway Hamburg and was invited to do the concert academy course.

Trained to tune by Yuji Nakamura, David has undertaken extensive further training under many highly regarded technician/tuners.

David is proud to be involved with and contribute to, the NZ piano tuners and technician's guild.

Other interests include:

Studio recording and producing

Acoustics

Carpentry and metalworking

Playing guitar, bass, drums and singing.

David has been playing instruments since approx. seven years old.

Mokie Lee

ARPT NZPTTG

 

Mokie started playing the piano at the age of 9 years.

After moving to Christchurch in 1995 from South Korea, she graduated high school and went on to Canterbury University, majoring in Piano Performance. Following this, she studied for another 2 years of Organ. Mokie graduated with Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours. 

 She was also interested in Jazz, completing one year of Jazz piano at Ara institute which she thoroughly enjoyed. 

After her piano studies, Mokie was teaching piano, as well as accompanying for her church choir.

In 2011, Mokie moved to Auckland where she completed four years formal apprenticeship with Jenkin Piano Service, Initially learning to tune under Yuji Nakamura. Mokie had the benefits of multinational staff in the workplace with many diverse jobs in repairs and re-building pianos. She continued to work for another six years with Jenkin Piano Service.

Mokie moved back to Christchurch early 2022 and has continued to satisfy customers with her expertise and excellent tunings.
